  • Fiddle Leaf Fig is an indoor plant but this boy loves a good brightly lit area. Indoors, keep it next to a window so that it gets consistent light through the day.
  • The Fiddle Leaf Fig thrives in bright, consistent, and indirect sunlight. A few hours of morning sun is also good for your plant; however, avoid direct peak sun. Fiddle Leaf Fig starts leaning towards the light source, so make sure you keep turning your plant to ensure even growth.
  • You can propagate your Fiddle Leaf Fig by a leaf or a stem cutting. Choose a cutting that is at least 6-8 inches in size and includes at least one leaf node. Then cuttings can be rooted either in water or soil and the roots emerge from leaf node.
  • The Ficus Lyrata likes to grow in a compact pot, so repot only when the plant becomes root bound. The best time to repot your Fiddle Leaf Fig is during spring. Choose a pot that is 2 to 3 inches larger in diameter than your current pot and avoid repotting in winters as the plant growth is naturally slower.
